John Souter joined LINX as chief executive in March 2001.
John had a 20 year career with the British Standards Institution, culminating in his directorship of BSI Quality Assurance.
In 1996 he became vice president for systems and operations with Mobile Systems International Plc, whose Planet software product is used in planning GSM and paging networks.
In 1998 he became managing director of AAH Meditel Ltd, which provides clinical record and decision support systems to NHS general practitioners, and in 2000 was appointed as UK managing director of Varetis Communications, which provides Internet, WAP-based and computer systems to telephone companies.
He is co-author of a technical book on Portable Modula-2 Programming and is a member of the editorial board of Software Quality Journal.
